The UK government’s consultation paper ‘Guidelines for taking passengers to sporting events in Scotland’ proposes restrictions on buses carrying supporters to matches. The proposed new rules include buses not being allowed to stop within 10 miles of the stadium without police permission, no stops at a pub for a beer unless it’s sold with a “substantial meal”, and no drop-offs or pick-ups from unauthorised locations without permission from the police. A joint statement from the Scottish FA, SPFL and Scottish Women’s Premier League said: “There's no evidence that this is a significant problem in Scottish football. We are concerned by the targeted nature of these proposals, which serve to demonise football fans and interfere unnecessarily in people’s lives. “In Scotland, there are already appropriate powers held by PHV operators, Police Scotland and other partners to deal effectively with a very small number of incidents by a minority of fans.

Hibs will be hoping he can replicate that success at Easter Road. It’s an appointment that is likely to excite the Hibs support and one that should bring some much-needed unity to the club. If Montgomery can get the effort and workrate from the players that Gray was able to on Saturday, then he’s got a great chance of being a big hit with the Hibees. Nick Montgomery has already bid his farewells to his Central Coast Mariners squad as he prepared to meet the Easter Road hierarchy about Hibernian's management vacancy and the former Scotland Under-21 midfielder would take assistant coach Sergio Raimundo with him if appointed. (Football Scotland), externalHibs striker Adam Le Fondre says he scored for Sydney every time he played against Nick Montgomery's Central Coast Mariners, leading to the prospective Easter Road manager trying to sign him every year during his stay in the A-League.

“It’s nice to be back out of hospital and get back into a normal routine. It’s been good to get back into the gym and running a little bit, just starting to feel like a footballer again. “You have to look on the bright side - there have been footballers that have had similar issues recently that have had a lot scarier moments than me and on the pitch, so I’m thankful that they found it before, and it was as calm as it could’ve been. I’m feeling much better now. ”The good news is Hibs have been sharp in front of goal, In fact, they are the Premiership's top scorers so far having netted seven in four games. Factor in that their expected goals (XG) is just 4. 3 and the Easter Road men have been finishing with aplomb.

They will go to the last minute. "Former Hibernian manager Neil Lennon is not on the Edinburgh club's shortlist as they seek a replacement for Lee Johnson. (The Scotsman), externalNeil Lennon, one of the favourites for the Hibs manager's role, says he has not ruled out taking an international job but has told a betting website he is backing Michael O'Neill to turn things around for Northern Ireland. (The Herald), externalHibs full-back Lewis Miller, who got his start at Central Coast Mariners under Nick Montgomery, thinks the former Sheffield United midfielder would toughen up the Easter Road team should he be appointed manager.

The Easter Road academy graduate, who is in his second season with Verona after a £3m move last summer, makes sure never to miss a minute of Hibs action. As for the managerial upheaval, with the club seeking a replacement for the sacked Lee Johnson? It’s par for the course down Leith way according to Doig. “I still have my Hibs TV account and watch every game, ” said the Scotland Under-21 left-back.

“The consultation itself notes that the majority of football fans are law-abiding and do not cause any disturbances when travelling to or from games, yet these proposals would unfairly affect the vast majority of football fans who travel safely and respectfully to and from matches on a weekly basis. “We don’t support these unnecessary and heavy-handed proposals and we will be making our views clear in the consultation.
